Castle View Play Area

Castle View Park is situated on the Redrow Estate off Valerian Drive, also leading to the Rugby pitch and the Drive in Doxey

Doxey Parish Council took over the park in 2018 following unresolved disputes between Redrow and Stafford Borough Council which had left it unmaintained for 6 years.

Please note:

· This play area is not cleaned, and we encourage all users to take extra care.

· Children should be supervised 

· Do not consume food and drink on the equipment 

· Please dispose of all litter safely either in the provided bins or if they are full please take the litter home with you.

At the discretion of the Council the park may be closed without notice

What happens on the park?

Weekly play equipment checks by Streetscene on behalf of Doxey Parish Council
Quarterly and Annual  equipment inspections

Litterpicking on a weekly basis and bins emptied provided by Streetscene on behalf of Doxey Parish Council 

New Equipment Project 2019

In 2019 after consultation with local people, 3 new pieces of play equipment were added as follows:

-Zip wire
-Basket Swing
- Echo Multiplay

The new equipment allows access for a wider range of children and also disabled access to play equipment.

This project has been supported by Tesco Bags of Help who gave £4000 after the Parish Council came 1st in the voting. Thanks to everyone who put their tokens in our box.
